Longford Swing Bridge, formerly on the South Gippsland Highway.
The following photos were taken on 21/3/06 of the recently restored manually operated swing bridge formerly on the South Gippsland Highway (B/A 440).

It has been bypassed by a deviation opened in 2002 and is now a pedestrian bridge only (except on special occasions). The bridge is to be opened regularly by volunteers Friday evenings and Saturday and Sunday, mornings and evenings.

Traffic signal controller 5625 still stands beside the bridge despite a lack of traffic signals in the vicinity. When the bridge was open to traffic, there had been traffic lights either side to prevent 2-way traffic on the narrow bridge.
